Mary Lou’s Palm Beach – Opening January 2025
West Palm Beach’s nightlife is getting a bold new addition this winter with the opening of Mary Lou’s, a refined cocktail lounge and entertainment hub. Named after Mary Lou Curtis, the legendary Palm Beach fashion icon, the venue pays homage to her vibrant, daring spirit. Located at 250 Southern Blvd, Mary Lou’s hides behind the unassuming exterior of its predecessor, Berto’s Bait & Tackle, and invites guests into a world that blends vintage charm with modern indulgence. The lounge features a luxurious, sensory-stimulating interior with ornate wood paneling, antique velvet drapery, and a surrealist mural as the centerpiece. Curated by a team that includes The Chainsmokers and music strategist Tracey Manner, Mary Lou’s promises an unforgettable experience with live music, handcrafted cocktails, and a playful, “expect the unexpected” vibe.

Steak Shop by Rancher’s Reserve is opening soon in the Flamingo Park Historic District in West Palm Beach, offering a traditional butcher shop experience with locally-raised, hormone- and antibiotic-free beef and pork from their own ranch. In addition to prime cuts, the restaurant will serve made-to-order items like smashburgers, steak sandwiches, and pizzas, cooked in a wood-fired oven. The venue will have a casual, walk-up style with seating available in a nearby courtyard, and it’s part of a larger development that includes other boutique businesses. Owner Nick Scalisi, also behind The Fern restaurant, aims to provide healthier meat options with a farm-to-table ethos.
